I don't know about this screen, but my 7" lilli had a glass panel for a touch... it would break pretty easily. If the touch wasn't hard then you would get pooling of lcd when you touch it which is undesireable... my 2 cents. I would guess cable as well by that picture. My boss's dell does that and its the cable.

I don't mean flexable like jelly, but not as ridgid as glass.... like a hard plastic... ****, even metal is more flexable than glass

looking at those pictures again the line looks really straight, more like an electrical sync or connection... maybe it isn't cracked.... that was my first assumption when you said too much pressure on the lcd....

if you jiggle the connection to the lcd around does it affect it.... also if you push on a cracked lcd it will defanately have that liquid bleeding effect, does yours do that?

My older xenarc had a glass touchpanel. Yes it had.

All my newer ones have a thin plastic one, very flexible.

Also I was not saying pressure would cause it, I said when he took it apart or fiddle with it he could have cause the ribbon cable to break or come of the board it only takes a little pressure on the bottom of the wire to break they are very small and delicate.

Just what i stated from above its not cracked( IF ANY OF YOU EVER BROKEN A SCREEN BEFORE YOU WOULD KNOW THAT IT WOULD BLEED) Just like a pda screen or cell phone that look like they have blobs of ink inside the screen.
    This looks as a
a wire in those ribbon cables have come off they are so small and hard *** hell to soldier back on might be better of buying new one, the wire that came off is a verticle pixel, I had a clarion screen and i ripped the ribbon just slightly 2 wires off the panel and it looked just like that but the line was to the left more, Find were the line goes down the panel and trace it back to a wire there are alot of wires in the ribbon to lcd from the pbc or pcb what ever they call it, on mine i was able to push down on the wire it ripped on and get the lcd to work properly but could find anyway to keep it

not all lcd cracks have a lot of bleed around them, depends how severe the crack is... but they will bleed when pressed.... I've seen some that just look like a thin line with minimal bleeding, but your right I think anyway, his line is just to perfectly vertical to be a crack I think.... unless theres just a smal crack at one side & the damage is afecting the whole row of pixels.... I guess that's not to likely....
