Cracked screen?

Hi,

I put too much pressure on my LinITX 8" and it now has a great big line down one side, I think I've cracked the LCD panel.

. Can just the panel be replaced?

yes it can but are you sure its not the touchscreen panel? post a picture.

the lcd will crack before the touchscreen.....

I don't think the system can recover from that error

get the lcd# off the panel, if you can find the same panel you can change just that....

Much cheaper than actually buying the layer touch thing whatever it is. AFAIK it's a hitachi panel, here's the back

I guess google the # of the lcd.... search ebay....... good luck finding it

the lcd is a thin glass layer... the touchscreen is flexable plastic like....., hard to crack, much harder than a thin glass layer...
