Thumbs up Looks like a good deal

    Hi all,

I'm new here - and still searching/reading for info about displays (in the planning stages of an in-car computer), but I came across this by accident a little while ago and it seems like a pretty good deal for an NTSC LCD. 6.8" 300nits, 12v, composite-in for $169.00

Product direct link is at http://www.resunltd4u.com/display.asp?item=GMTFT68

I don't work for this place, and haven't seen one of these displays in person, but thought I'd pass along the info.

    -Mike

I dont think its such a great deal. It has no power supply, and you have to use an adapter from composite (RCA) to BNC. Why not go with the proven redant http://www.lik-sang.com/catalog/prod...dde973169e61bf for $30 more?

I've thought about getting that screen as well, I think it looks like a great deal. 300nits is plenty bright, and the resolution is good for an NTSC screen. For the power supply, it takes 12VDC, so it's weel suited to in-car use. The screen does not come in a case, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how/where you were planning on mounting the screen. The BNC conector is no big deal, just get a connector from RadioShack (part# 278-303).
If anyone here has purchased one of these screens, please post and let us know how it is.
