Respond here if you want glare/brightness solution

Assuming:
1. There's enough film for the 8".
2. It works with the existing touch screen.
3. It makes the monitor usable in the day time I'd pay $100.
It would have to really usable in day time (e.g. usable even with direct sunlight) for me to shell out $150. Otherwise I'll pursue a custom solution of multiple backlights + a cheap off the shelf AR film.

I'd love one, but $100 is about as much as I'd spend for daytime viewability.

i have a company i intend to send a regualr touch overlay to for them to coat with an AR coating. would be better than an extra film.

I am going to call them this week as I have found a new chip they could use to make dimming inverters for EEFLs. Last time i spoke to them 6 months ago they had just emplyed an EE to look into some dimming technology.

It sounds like there is definately enough interest! I'll order a Lilli on Monday.

I'm not doing this to make money...just trying to find something that will help everyone (including me) with the glare problems. I really have no idea what the final cost might be but my goal will be for it to be cheap!

Thanks for taking the initiative and following through. Hopefully it will result in something that will help a lot of people out.

it's been tested on tablet pcs already and works like a charm. but it needs to be replaced from time to time. putting another protection sheet on top of it may cause reflection again.
