Results:

Direct Sunlight readability, high ambient light readability, night time readability, 30%+ nit increase, etc.

when I say direct sunlight readability i mean take the unit go outside under the sun and you will see it get brighter on its own.

So we could buy a 250 dollar screen... then pay 300 dollars to get an enhancement, then 175 to get another one... all so we can see said screen in direct sunlight.

When I take off the top of my del sol, I don't pay 725 dollars putting new coatings over my top... I put on a hat and sunglasses.

Perhaps we should buy hats for our screens? Seems a bit more economical than 725 dollars for a 7" screen we can see in sunlight, that's probably going to break or the touchscreen die 6 months from now anyways.

I know its not cheap, I never said it was, it is a luxury item however if you want a solution not a jimmy rigged fix this is your only economical option. Until teledyne systems release imod technology, you'll have to wait 5 years before you'll see that in cars, and in the meantime put your hat on your lcd.

FYI lcds only have a manufacturer's life of 18 - 24 months and unless you are an idiot with your touchscreen it should out last your lcd.

Your touchscreen... you can use it but it defeats the purpose due to lack of transmissivity standards is current production touchscreens.
