    Facia panels

I am looking for a facia panel I can house a 7" monitor in for my 05 Golf MKV5.

I have found one for a stock radio to standard (single size) radio one but not for a monitor. Can anyone advise me. If there is not one available can anybody create one?

    Regards

typically everyone here makes one themselves from their existing lcd housing + aftermarket double din install kit; takes a lot of patience, bondo and/or fiberglass, and lots of sanding. there are a few threads in teh fabrication section of the forum telling how to make your own flush mount lcd housing.

good luck. you may want to SEARCH for installs using your same car (there are LOTS of GTI installs on this board)

Check out the fabrication subforum. There's a lot of information in there. I'm not sure, but why not check with VW to see if they have what might be referred to as a "nav bezel." The thought is that another mk5 might be available with a navigation system, and nav systems generally need a 7" or 8" screen. As long as you get the bezel, at least some of the work is done if you go that route.
