    No Input DIN cable?

    Any Ideas?
    Yes
    1. You can make one using the pinout diagram and the instructions above.
    2. You can Buy an oem one from liquid video or ebay.
    3. You can bribe a technician of your choice to make one for you.

If you exercise the third chioce make sure you provide the pinout diagram and specify the length you need.

    Making a DIN cord

Here are a few pictures of the one I made and what to expect.
N.B. This was project was intended for my kids to watch movies in the van. Not for competition. DVD + 7" screen + misc. accessories I had lying around = <$150 u.s.
The third pic is the cut din cable- note the shield which you need to extend with tin foil to cover the entire connection area. You can see the bulb of tape in the first pic that covers the tin foil. It's not real pretty, but it works!

    Din Cord

It might work but the ends look a little fat. If you look at the picture of the circuitboard earlier in this thread, you can see there is not alot of room for a big fat plug. look at the ends of the cord I used. When inserted, the flat side of the moulding is away from the circuitboard.
I tell you what, I have a few of these cords B.N. ( I love surplus electronics stores!) I will sell you two of them to experiment with. Probably for 5 bucks for the pair. They have the same end on both ends and I think they are about 6 feet long. This will enable you to make 4 adapter cords if you don't monkey it up. You must pay the shipping, of course. I can list them on ebay and then end the auction as soon as you bid.
Let me know what you think.

Sure, but what you would need to do is PM me with your location stats for me to give you a ship quote.

That cable looks good, sounds good. I cannot be sure if it is the correct cable since i cannot see the plug end. If you seach belkin's site directly, you may be able to find a plug end picture so you can compare the pins to the other pictures on this page.

I removed my screen today and am preping to build a new case for it, when i get a chance ill take pictures of the point i soldered my wires for power.

    Din cord clarifaction

Well, I'm going to take pictures sometime tomorrow of my unit, but the real reason I need the din cord is to get the video from the dvd player. There is only the DIN connection and not RCA cables, and the dvd player has a DIN connection on it. That is what I need help with!
