I removed my screen today and am preping to build a new case for it, when i get a chance ill take pictures of the point i soldered my wires for power.
that's why I took a picture of the end I used. You might want to check ebay - I've seen generic O. H. cases. It might save you a lot of time and hassel.

The DVD has a din connectioin on it? Wow that will make your life MUCH easier than mine

If you look into that belkin cable or check ebay like vanguy said, you may be able to find the cable you need. As far as i know, the din cable is fairly generic. Its not like a liquid video specific item...

I think i can get you some pictures tomorrow of my unit. So that way you can at least get a look at the 12v power input i use.

And think, if you invest the 2 bucks on that belkin cable, whats the very worst that can happen? you lose two bucks.

Now if it cost 80 bucks or something....thats a different story

Well, din plugs have not generally been generic in the past, if you are crossing two different brands. If the dvd is made by liquid video, chances are that you are laughing. Or even if it's the same manufacturer but under a different name you will be fine with a straight through pre-fab din cable.
Companies that use dins generally use themfor one of two things.
    1. to facilitate installation
    2. to prevent cross breeding.
If you check who made your dvd and see if you can get a pinout, it might prevent you from feeding the 12v from the liquid video into a video out on your dvd.
All I'm saying is that a little research may go a long way.
Just because two din plugs look the same doesn't mean they are.

    Finally some pictures!

I finally got some pics up, but this forum says they are too big, so here is the links!

Tell me what you think I should do? As you can see I still have a wiring harness for power, the RCA jacks that you see from the screen are actually outputs, and the dvd player, as you can see, has DIN and RCA!

Okay i checked out your pictures (although a bit blurry... ) I have made out what you have.

I say, Solder in your +12v and Gnd connections to the liquid video board for power, the switch will then work for power on and off (ADD a FUSE!) and then for video input, insert two wires into the appropriate position on the D-In connector for the RCA video in. I have included a picture where my power connections are and how i have wires inserted into the appropriate pin connections for the RCA plug.

For the wires into the D-In connector, i suggest hard single straned copper wire. Insert them in the RCA appropriate pin positions, then tape them in place. Next solder the appropriate wires to the RCA plug wires.

For the power, solder in a wire in each of the two power positions, then add a fuse on the 12v line for protection. Voila a new screen and dvd combo!

Good luck, let me know if you need anymore help.

    Dvd Din

well, the pics are a little blurry but, It looks like it should work if that dvd is made by or for the same manufacturer. Is there not a name or a model on the DVD? My concern is with the plug you posted the link on. I have one of these 7" screens and I know there ain't alot of room in there for a fat plug. The one I made up is a just fit situation. You don't want the plug sitting cockeyed in the socket. Or maybe you do. It doesn't matter to me what you use. I seen your question, and with my direct experience, I answered it to the best of my ability.
I have other plugs of that same mouling style, and if the diameter is similar, it will fit cockeyed.
There is a pic at the beginning of this thread of the board (nice closeup btw) and there is two oval holes on the circuitboard in front of both plugs. Those are to put a zip strap through and secure the plug to the board.
In any case, you now have the info to make an adapter for the second din so you can plug in your xbox.

He's actually got the appropriate power wire intact(third pic BL/red wire ). He just needs to splice that with a fuse and legthen it for power.

    Thanks

As for the power cord, you are right its pictured right there in the 3rd picture.

Splice in a fuse FOR SURE.

I think i used the output RCA plug. I unplugged it from the board, then spliced the wires with some stronger copper wires, then slipped them into the appropriate D-In pins and secured it all in place.

Works like a charm for me...!

    Good luck.
