Hello? Does anyone know how to do this?
HAHA...good call...actually Vanguy, the pictures you put up of the spliced DIN cord, well guess what, I found one for only $1. Anways, Once it is spliced, what wires go where? I'm assuming yellow=video, but what other colors goto what other wires on the RCA jacks?
Hello? Does anyone know how to do this?
I say use the pin-out on the first few pages, and using a multimeter (or if you dont have one a battery and a lightbulb) to see which wire leads to which pin. Then hook up the RCA connections accordingly.

That is correct. Follow the pinout on the previous postings.
HAHA? look, I was only trying to help you out. I f you think I was going to retire on that meagre transaction, I guess I would have to move to Uganda.Originally Posted by shsrebel2003
So you basically give me the finger and then ask to be spoonfed?
You've got some big brass ones I'll give you that
Actually, I was just saying I got luck enough to find a cord in a comp. shop and all I was wondering was how you spliced it opened and what colors meant what? I'm still not sure what you mean by battery test because all that means to me is positive and negative charge, which doesnt tell me what color is what pin! In other words I really have no freakin clue as to what I am doing in this case!
Basically your goal is to find which wire leads to which pin.
Refer to the picture below as i go along.
Use probe 1 (basically only a bit of bare wire) and touch it to one of the wires. Then use probe 2 (again a bit of bare wire preferably a single strand of copper wire) and insert it into each pin until the bulb lights up.
If the bulb lights up then you have a connection and that wire leads to the corrosponding pin.
Make a chart and mark down which wire leads to each pin.
Once you have done this, use the pinout chart on the first page and attach the correct plug.
If you have an ohm tester (resitance tester) you can use that instead of the battery and light contraption.
If you have trouble search for continuity testing onor something

Side, that if freakin awesome...but now I have one more question...i did the test since i had a multimeter, but the yellow wire is sayin it has a connection with Pin 5 and 7? what does this mean?
Not to mention i only have 6 wires coming from my DIN cord...it is a DIN 8 cord, but there are only 6 wires after i splice it open!
Oooooooh boy
Again, not all dins are the same. On that particular din cord the man. only needed 6 conductors, better hope they are the ones u need!
btw nice Diagram S.S. It should come complete with an airplane noise.![]()
