Thread: Got partial shipment from DennisK (Screen and Touch coming...)

I htink it's CNB1 now. I looked at some PDF.

I don't wanna fry this thing so I'm gonna make sure everythings 100% before I press the red button.

heheh. i got half of my package on friday... screen and touch controller.

im waiting on the stuff that you have. they should be at my house this afternoon.

cant wait... i still have to figure out the power to the touch cable.

The power to the touch is easy. What do you want to power it with? You can run power from serial end or if your touch board is by another power source you can use that.

i havent done anything to power it yet. i will probably go to the Rat Shack and pick up a cheap mini-power plug that will fit the serial cable. and i will probably wire it off the sproggy 5V rail. (thats the correct volatage....right?)

as for the cable from the touch screen to the controller. i believe that if you have the controller sitting in front of you with the pins pointing away from you, the wires should go to the left. i havent had the chance to try it yet, but i might test the pins with a voltmeter to see which ones are putting out a signal. obviously, some of them are going to be dead (no connections).
