touch screen?

does anyone know if its possible for me to get a touch sreen with dual inputs that i can use with a pioneer navigational unit that i have already. Im planning on replacing the screen that comes with it so that i can use only one screen for the navi and carputer.

dual video inputs? like VGA and RCA?

if you mean dual touch screen - one for PC and then one for pioneer then forget it.

so i guess now im back to square one. i guess ill just have to have two screens then instead of one. huh? i was hoping that 1 screen would work but i guess i was wrong again i dont see why it wouldnt though?

Sure, you can use the screen for both. VGA for the carpc, and AV for the Pioneer unit. Only thing is, the touch screen will only be for the carpc.

Well it depends if you need a touch screen for the pioneer nav. surely it comes with its own? if it just has an AV out for displaying GPS on an external monitor but is controlled from the unit itself then just get a screen with VGA and AV in.

why don't you have them both hanging by a meat hook, then practise to swap them blindfolded. that way, when you want to use the pioneer, you close your eyes, do the swap, and voila!

ok i give up i guess im finally just going to have to get rid of the pioneer unit but what navi software out there can i use for thr computer that is going to be just as good as the pioneer, graphiic wise, user options etc.....

To answer that question you need to do two things:
A) Help yourself -- Look in the GPS and Software subforums for a GPS solution that fits your needs.
B) Help us help you -- Provide screenshots of the Pioneer's navigation system / menus / audio control / etc. so we could recommend a nav software or a front end for you to use.
