I be jealous when I see you in my rear mirror after deploying my X's supercharger
Thanatos.
OKay so I know this unit has been discussed ad infinitum. But I haven't seen any reviews lately and it sounds like this unit has some kind of history to it.
I just received mine four days after winning a bid on ebay from Audio Image Electronics and yuki668 or something like that. Everything arrived in perfect shape, no problems, tracking info was thorough and even got an email telling me it was delivered (within 15 minutes after actual delivery!)
Anyway, I've read that these have two problems:
First - That when the switched 12V is turned off, i.e. the car is switched off (but there is still power from the battery to maintain clock info). In this situation some wrote that the lights on the front panel stayed on, calling all would be theives. I'm exstatic to report that my unit does not have this problem, when I remove the 12V switched wire from my PSU the unit sits for about 10 seconds, then motors into the dash and shuts off ALL FRONT PANEL LIGHTS!!! Great!
Second - That even when the main power is maintained and only the switched power is turned off, (much like turning your car off). The screen position is erratic and not saved, leaving the screen to motor open fully, past 90deg. and often hitting the dash. Also exstatic, mine remembers the position every time!!! No problems at all.
I don't have all my stereo equip. yet but I'm planning quite an impressive install(won comps before, and on the cheap), I will start that in another thread with pics.
For now, here are a few pics of the screen being tested.
Here is a photo @ 1024x768
This is blurry due to camera, I wanted to fill the frame and that comes too close for focus.
Here is 800x600. Notice the color graduations and line edges are better than the previous.
Here is 640x480. This looked very similar in quality to the 800. But obviously everything is bigger.
I've heard that other odd resolutions look better, when I've upgraded my computer software (who noticed win98???) I'll most likely ensure high quality.
But to wet everyone's taste buds. Here is what I've got planned for the install:
Sp-716 motor screen (obviously)
Two profile amps: 80Wx4 and 300Wx1
Front Speakers: Audiobahn 6x9s
Rear Speakers: Audiobahn 5.25s
Sub Woofer: Rockford Fosgate Punch Stage 2, custom formed box
I'll also be running 'Centrafuse' as a shell, plugged in with an XM Direct tuner and a GPS antenna.
Let me know if there are better frontend systems than centrafuse, I picked it because it seems to do everything well.
Peace Out.
Oh yeah, this is all going in my brand F'n new Xterra 4x4. Be jealous!!! j/k Thanks to all for posting on these forums.

Haha, nice...really? Hmmm...a supercharger...(totalling the number of hours of work it would take to pay)...damn!
Hey, how in the heck do I delete my previous posts, kinda embarrassing, in edit I don't see delete.
Well mine came with the truck.
You can't delete the other thread (only a MOD with the right attributes can)
Thanatos.
Ah, then it's the factory supercharger. Got ya beat bud. You're at 210hp, my new one @ 285hp, it's the engine from the 350z. I don't want to insult, just playin' beef. We both have tight trucks. My payment is probably going to last me longer tho. This makes you feel better.
