I have managed to get some info on the lcd controller that I got the other day.
The actually LCD Monitor it came out of was the NEC 1530, it uses a 15" LG LM151X2 XGA flat panel. (A thicker lcd than the average laptop lcd by far) It consists of 4 pcb's, 1 vga-lcd controller which uses a genesis GM-Zan1-a controller chip. additional model #'s on the board are nj35g and vl-523. There is one power converter that changes 120v ac into what looks like 12v and 5vdc. The inverter for the lcd and finally the osd control board. That's about all I can tell you. I am not sure what if any other lcd's can be used with the controller, the original lcd panel is $275 US from earth lcd.
I am hoping that someone may have some more information about this unti as I just plain don't have the funds to purchase that replacement lcd. Does anyone know of any other lcd's that this willl support?
