Probably just windows attempting to be "smart" again. Try this:
Go to display properties, Settings tab, hit the Advanced button. Go to Adapter tab, hit the button labeled "List All Modes" and find what you want in there.

Ok, my carputer is almost all ready to go and im testing out different resolutions and for some reason I dont have 640x480 as an option...I made sure the driver was installed from the VIA website, and I had the option for 640x480, but I switched to 800x600 for setup reasons, and now the 640x480 option is gone...wtf did it go? Any help is appreciated![]()
