replacement digitalww touchpanel not as sensitive

Has anyone else replaced their 7" lilliput touchpanel with the unit from digitalww? I just did and the new one is much less sensitive to touch. The old one would respond at the slightest touch, and the new one needs more of a push to respond. It's annoying. It makes dragging windows and scrollbars more intermittent and more likely to scratch. Normal?

I just replaced mine myself a couple days ago and noticed the same thing. I also noticed it's significantly more...."rainbowy" than my old one was. Seems it diffracts the light more than the original one does or something like that. Anyone know of a solution to either of these two problems? I would assume if there were some way to "bond" the touchpad to the lcd to fill in the gap between them (vaguely like heatsink paste on CPUs, only more see-through) it would help. Anyone played around with this problem before?
