i get the same thing some times. You can mute the screen and it should go away. Mine is from the power cables running next to my VGA and USB so yours might be different.
Hey guy just wondering if a high pitched whine coming from my screen was common. I'm not sure of the actual model but I attached a picture. As stated in the title, it doesn't come from the speakers. It comes directly from the screen itself. It's driving me crazy but I don't want to replace the screen only to find that all of these screens do it.

My work log
Thanks for the responses guys but it's coming directly from the screen itself and not the speaker in it, or the power "egg". Any other thoughts?
check the connection at the inverter (pink/white cables.

Peoples was saying that the whine doesnt come from the egg, but is due to your using the egg in the first place. Its pretty common knowledge around here that the "egg" is crap. You need to get a point of load power supply, make your own regulator, or splice a cable to pull voltage direct from your computer's power supply. That cleans up flicker, and may clean up physical noise as well.Originally Posted by djaybake7

Currently: Enjoying the setup, but always contemplating my next move...
yeah doing just that, installing a P1900 today, and i beleive should get rid of the same noise and sometimes getting a screen flicker.
