    VFD info needed.

    Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone has used this particular VFD for their carputer and if they have detailed info on it:

It's located on this website and is model 03602-122-09220
    http://www.cardfive-software.com/vacuum.htm

If someone has used this I would like any info you could give me on it including pinouts and what type of adapter you used to interface with it. I did a search but didn't find anything for the model number or the company listed on that website.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jesse

Looking a bit harder gets you this:

    http://www.ieeinc.com/html/vacuum_fl...splay_mod.html

Includes full specs and stuff. Its a 44780 type controller, so shouldn't pose any problems at all.

Thanks a lot for that information Rob. Would $20 for one of these be a decent deal you think?

Yes. I paid about £50-£60 for my 4x20 VFD.

So where'd you find a price like that?!?! on the IEE site, they're listed for hundreds of dollars

I'm also looking for a VFD (probably a 4x40 though)... if you know of any good distributors, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    -Miles
