perhaps a short video would be nice as well.. I'm really interested in seeing what it looks like when a modded screen actually gets brighter in sunlight :)

Count me in as well.
I have a Pentax Optio S4i. Its a compact digital but I can manually control all of the exposure, white balance, focus and shutter speeds. It should be more than enough for a comparison. If we can see whats on the screen in direct sunlight, im thinking the pictures will show that.
The only lcd that I have see which looks completely readable outdoors (not in direct sunlight) was the one on my bros SONY VAIO TX laptop. That doesnt use transreflective technology as far as im aware, but a special anti reflective coating on the exterior glass. Along with dual backlights for a brighter picture.
Im pretty skeptical of what can actually be seen in direct sunlight....but I guess ill find out soon enough.
Let me get this straight. The $400 is in addition to the price of the screen?
If I have a lilliput, I send that in and pay $400 to get the upgrade. If thats the case doesn't the price seem kinda steep, its almost twice the price of the LCD alone.
Yes, and as a double bonus, EPIA folks still won't be able to get the native resolution out of it either! :nutz: :tard: :nutz: :tard:Quote:

If you havent purchased the screen yet, then you may want to read the other thread and buy all the components seperately, then you wont be paying as much. For those of us who already have the screen, we are out of luck and will either fork over the money or do without. Unless you drive your car ONLY at night, i think its a worthwhile investment.Quote:
