    quick question on k301

hello, I just wired my k301 into my dash. one of the features that i like is that it remembers its last position and screen memory but, like many here, i decided to power it thru my dsatx for the fear of prematurely killing it. i realized that by me powering it this way, i am not providing power to it when the pc is off and, hence, not auto-opening on ignition. So, my question is this. Is there any way of me providing a regulated +12v to the k301 without purchasing additional hardware, eg. http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=138 I would still like to use the psu, thanks

considering the operating voltage is 10.5 to 14v, You could wire it directly to your car's 12v source like a headunit.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

the K301 is made for a car and nothing else so the voltage is fine it isnt the same as say a lilliput which is meant to be used on 12v for a mains adapter.
