    Lilliput 619 questions

Im trying to get 800*480 resolution working on a Lilliput 619 connected to a Radeon Mobility 9200. I've read a bunch of threads conserning resoution issues, but I don't quite get it.

Using the custom resoluitions under advanced timings in powerstrip, I've been able to get the correct aspect ratio. However, the resulting image seems blurred (antialiased). When choosing 848 * 480 I get a much better pricture. The LCD seems to be using the native resolution. Unfortunatly the image is broken up and a jagged edge is visible across the image. The LCD also flashes on and off at aprox 1 sec intervals.

I've tried modifiing most of the timings but havn't been successful so far. Why won't the LCD display 800*480 without antalizing? (the text looks really bad). After all, thats the hardware resolution?

I talked to lilliput and they basically said that it only actually supports 800x480 in RCA mode... that it's best to run 848x480 or 800x600 in vga mode.

what a bunch of deceptive assholes.

I dunno, I have 800x480 on a GeForce2 MX400 chipset and i have no antialiasing that I see. If you have a jagged edge along the image and flashing, you might have incorrect timing values. The issue might not be with the resolution, but with the settings such as the front and back porches and sync rate.

It only flashes in 848x480. The image is broken up along the diagonal. The display clearly has a problem with that resolution.
In 800*480 the image is stable but not as sharp. I've tried modifying most timing values, but It seems to make little difference.

What's your refresh rate? 60Hz is too slow, 75Hz or higher looks great.

If you go into the menu info on the lilliput it will tell you what mode it's using to display. 800x480 has 2 different internal display modes depending on the refresh and other settings you choose in powerstrip. I found that around 70-75hz it will look really sharp and the menu will report 848x480. 60 and 85hz exhibit the downsampling fuzziness and the menu will report 640x480. Unfortunately, I can't run it at 70-75hz because this interferes with my BU-353

perhaps you could post your entire list of settings so I could give them a shot with my lilliput?

I'd like to run 800x480, but honestly just cant seem to pull it off.

    Thanks in advance dude.
