I am bummed. I was in the process of ordering a brand new screen to then send in. Oh well, missed the boat.

So I registered for this forum for no other reason than to "make some noise" about this thread. I ,for one, am only waiting for some company to make a nice transflective 6.5 - 7 inch sunlight readable LCD Available on a per unit basis before I spend some money on a carputer. It seems to me that whichever company manages to do this first will obviously earn the scene's loyalty. I can only hope FPD does the right thing here and continues to work with the end-user as it would obviously to both our and their benefit.

hey guys, i have been reading these treads and it sucks that fbp are no longer going to provide end user support. especially dealing with someone so helpfull and dedicated like BENSON. I personaly spoke to him and he told me that news but i still haven't buy my 8.4" lcd.

Well here is another company that do lcd daylight enhacement. it is about the same price as fbp but they take less time to complete. so far they don't request a lot. here is the link http://www.man-machine.com/lcdbrightnessenhancement.htm
