So does anyoen knwo how to get rid of this.. I somewhat figured it out if I make the size smaller using the radeon display it goes away but leaves large edges which dont look very good.. I was owndering if there is some other solution!?!?!?!
Ok I did seach and didnt find a solution... I have a problem with the redant screen. I have a grey band on the left side of the screen... it takes up about 1/4 inch of the picture and everything is just grey there which is weird... first it has like a tight sinusoidal wave and now it turned to a grey bar.. if I invert the picture the band switches side... I tried 3 different rca cable one of which was gold plated shield and only 3 ft long in case distance was a problem...
Does ANYONE know how to get rid of that band??

No solution yet, but this might help:
Problems with Redant 7"
I dont think there is a solution ive seen two of them both do the same thing.
Strange thing about those screens isn't it. I've tested a bunch of them (at least 60) in the past few weeks, and they all do the same thing. When you connect it to a video source, like the playstation 2, when the PS2 is in its browser mode, there will be some offcenter effect to the display. As soon as the video source switches over to the dvd movie or game, it corrects itself and goes full screen. With some video cards, the display will be full screen, there is some setting or output problem that causes it. the problem is not in the screen, however.
I'll ask the manufacturer today if they know this problem and a way to correct it or even a reason for it occuring.

OH man this isnt good news. Im the one that posted earlier with the same problem. It was defective. I had to send it back to Lik-Sang, and the SOB's have NOT YET sent me my product back. They received it March 9th, and have yet to tell me exactly whats going on. I emailed them 5 times, and they responed 3 times, saying they would "get back with me right away" which has been going on for about 2 weeks now. Maybe they will just give me my money back. Where else can I get one? Maybe I will buy a 10.4 datalux and cram that into my truck somehow.
Actually, as stated in my other post, I have tried mine with 3 different video sources, such as a home stereo DVD player, satelitte receiver, computer tv out, and a VCR, and all had the same problem.
I just want to say that I've had not one failure in all of the screens I have imported. The worst case I have had was with screens having 1 bad pixel, and nobody will replace an entire unit for one bad pixel. I have yet to find a screen that doesn't work perfectly. Mine are NTSC only, so that might have a lot to do with it, I believe the majority of problems were with the NTSC/PAL switches, which you only get if you order them from Lik-sang/hong-kong.
Just my .02 ok?

After threatning Lik Sang with a credit card chargeback, they shipped my screen. This one also has the bad grey band. But I am not going to pay more money to ship it back. Instead I will just adjust the TV out of my video card to shrink the picture a bit on the left side to hide the band.
I think all the screens do this, so there isn't much point worrying about. Also, most output devices dont' fill the screen anyways so you don't even see it.
