    Lcd rca cable

Hey people i am going to be putting my mp3 pc in my car soon and my computer is gonna be in my boot and the 5 inch lcd screen in the dash. I just wanted to know does the quality of the rca lead sending the video signal affect the quality that apears on the screen that much like can u get much interfernce etc etc. If i make my own video rca leads should they be ok. Thanks

i think that it does a little bit. ive tried normal RCA cables and they were alright but i figured i might as well spend a bit extra and get some thicker monster cable style cables. you wont notice a ton of difference but it helps.

Yes, the RCA cable quality will make a difference, if the cable is cheap and thin then you will be more succeptable to EMI. In the dash there are tons of electrical components that produce enough to hamper a good signal. As stated above, use monster cable and you wont even have to think about this problem.

there shouldnt be much of a price difference between except for the fact that video cables come as 1 long cable and stereo come as 2. it might make a diff. just go with the video cable and you will be fine.

one other great piece of advice is to run ALL electrical wires that will run from the front to the back of the car on one side of the car, and all video, data, non-electrical cables on the other side. this way, there is alot less interference between the 2 cables.
