    Molding Without Removing

Has anyone tried molding their screen with out removing the LCD? I keep hearing that people are breaking or causing damage to their screens by removing it. If I taped the screen up with masking tape and taped the buttons up do you guys think it would be okay? I plan on doing this with a Lilliput 629 or Xenarc 700TS. What's the max resolution on the lilliput 629 by the way? Is it 800x480? So I'd be running on an awkward resolution?

There are FAQs on the 2 screens you mention: Everything you need to know about your Lilliput/Xernac.

The risk of screw up the screen without taking the LCD out is 1000 time greater than taking it out. If you are carefull and pay attention to where all the connectors, screws are when taking apart to make reassemble later easier, you chance of crew up is literally ZERO.

carelessness is the prime culprit for breakages - whether you're taking the screen out or not.

I molded mine by just taping up the screen, just be careful not to sand through the tape and you'll be fine. Also taped up the buttons too.
