    windows not centered

hello, my carputer is almost done and have it working in my truck, ill be posting up pictures in the "SHOW OFF" section later but right now, i have a little problem. i was wondering if anybody knows what would cause the windows desktop to be off-centered. When i boot up, i see the bios screen perfectly centered, then when it says windows professional with the status bar that its loading, its also perfectly centered and as soon as it starts to load up the gui and desktop, my screen flashes and gets off centered, the taskbar moves all the way to the bottom where you cant see it anymore and it moves to the left. I own the K301. i had it plugged in with the vga plug from my mobo and thought that maybe that was the prob and them i used a old agp vga card that i had and that seemed to work for a few days and then today, again, its off centered. you guys think its maybe the drivers? since the K301 doesnt have the option on the menu to move the screen, i dont know what to do. i was also using powerstrip as a temp solution before using the agp card. thanks

I think you want to use the menu option "auto-config" and it should attempt to adjust the screen size/position automatically.

    If not: K301 not centered

ive tried that so many times, all it does is makes that (ding) sound (the one that u hear when u plug/unplug a usb device) and shows the vga letters on the top right but doesnt move at all. lol, that link that you showed me was my old one, the same that states that i used power strip but not i dont have it cause i switched to a agp card. i guess im going to have to go bak to it, any other suggestions?

hehe, sorry, its been a long day.

anyway, what type of card is it? sometimes the ati and nvidia drivers will have tools to adjust the centering/sizing.
