and they said the LED hooks up to a spare PC power supply connector to LED backlight Cable (WR232Y02) one of th accessories they sell. My Carputer fis in my trunk, which is about 15 ft. to the dash, where my lcd is. Is there a way i can make an extention kind of wire that will go from my dash to an extra power connector from my PC's power supply? What Kind of wire would i use if i wanted to cut the old wires and make an extremly long kind instead

Ive already split the wire to the cig adapter about 3 times, for my inverter, for my cell phone stuff. Is there any way i can just buy two wires to connect the two things?

kipou DONT YOU DARE USE the 12 volt from the car to power ur LCD cause ...they are not regulated supply
just TAP in to the 12volt of the carputer power and use a 15feet or watever ..wire to power the LCD BUT no way connect the LCD to the car dc 12v

I've had my tapped into the wires behind the cig. lighter forever. Not one single problem. If the LCD controller is any good it will take care of voltage fluctuation.Originally posted by Mastero

I won't start an argument, but I highly doubt there are any controllers that would be happy with unregulated voltage...Originally posted by ppgt94

ppgt94 i guess your simply lucky ... but dont push it .. cause LCD's are very sensitive electronic devices and its better to have regulated supply .. for them .....
