check the cable.
sounds like the H sync is not connected.
EDIT: how is it with RCA in?
So my Xenarc 700TSV screen is appearently broken. I dont know how it happened or why. However as you can see my screen is messed. I dont know if it has to do with my previous power source (12v cig lighter) or my new one (12v from M2) or my VGA/Xenarc cable. Does anyone have any idea on how this may be fixed? The item is only around a year old so it may be under warranty, unfortunately I took apart the screen at one point to do a mod which I never ended up doing, so that is void. It looks as though the refresh rate is too high but it is well within the capibilities of the monitor. Its just moving left to right really fast infinetly.
(pic will be up asap, sorry guys my cam's USB isnt working)
check the cable.

EDIT: how is it with RCA in?
The RCA in works perfectly fine
sounds like the VGA input then. as i said the vsync could be the problem. do you have access to another cable? have you messed with it lately?
I have two cables. One which is wired in my car (the 15ft one) and the one that came with the Xenarc. They both produce the same result.
hmm could be the connector on the board. which type is it? the newer DFP one with side locks or the motorola style with a top lock?
It must be the newer one. It has the side locks.
oh bugger. those connectors are normally pretty good. if you search around you can find the pinout on the forum somewhere. Then you can see if there is problem with the connector - board joint for the vga pins. worth a look.
I searched and couldnt find the link. Think you could help me out?
I found the pinout: Some Xenarc/Gain 700TSV pinout data
I tried to solder the H-Align pin on the connector to the one on the daughterboard and the screen was just black. I desoldered it and its back to normal. How would I go about diagnosing the problem using the diagram?
