It gives you cancerOriginally Posted by Maheriano
I searched, I swear. I read the sticky and compared the Xenarc to the Lilliput in a few other threads.
But basically I'm looking at screens and the best one I can find in a 7 inch flush mount is the Xenarc....but is there any huge drawback I'm missing? Is there some minor advantage in one area to having another type of screen? I like the fact that it powers on and off automatically with the system, I want a screen that just works. I found a Canadian supplier to get it to my door for $482 Canadian.
So let me hear bad things about the Xenarc 700TSV.

glad to se you have a sense of humor. On a serious note one reason might be the price.....also look at this

Now the Xenerac is supposed to be the better panel, but it looks dim and yellow to me. I haven't seen one in person so I can't say one way or the other. You might want to wait on picking out the screen as MP3 store is supposed to be talking to a manufacturer about selling screens with a transflective upgrade that will help with glare and wash-out.
Interesting, but the reason I can't wait for that is because I need a Canadian supplier so mp3car won't be my supplier of choice. I'm going to go through Bytewize.

I wouldn't buy from there because that is the 4-wire version of the xenarc screen. You can get the 5-wire version with a brighter screen for $355US off ebay and you don't have to pay canadian taxes![]()
I just bought one and waiting for it to come in. I will post pics when I get it.
cheers
Well I can get the 2 Xenarc 700TSV versions for similar prices, which would you get? Is the 5 wire that much better? all I'm interested in is the brightness.
4 wire shipped within Canada for $482.
5 wire shipped from mp3car (US) for $445 + duties.
All prices Canadian. Actually, after doing the work it's pretty much a no brainer. Even if duties are $50.
