Anyone else have the same problem? It could be the quality of the music videos I downloaded, but it looks fine on the 19 inch.
I'm running my carputer in my house on a 19 inch monitor, it works fine. But when I run it on the bench with the 7 inch monitor, I started to notice an irregularity after a few minutes. And then on specific screens I could notice it a lot. Where there was a gradual change in colour, like a dark gray fading into a light gray, all on the one screen, it wouldn't handle it well. It'd have greens and reds spotted in there as if it was only 16 colour or something. What could cause this? I installed all the drivers for the screen (it suggests to let Windows install its own drivers so I did). I've ruled out the video drivers or the hardware since it works fine on the 19 inch.
Other things I've tried:
- ran the video in Windows Media Player and Winamp, same result
- ran the video in 800xsomething and also 1024x768, same result
- reinstalled the video drivers, same result
- tried different videos, same result
- ran it again on the 19 inch, looked perfect.
I searched.

Well it looks exactly like Windows does prior to installing your video drivers. I've seen it many times before, I'm just stumped because I already have installed the video card for this computer and it looks fine on my monitor. It just reverts back to what looks like 16 bit colour when hooked to my Xenarc.

from what i read it is because of the resolution. happens because your monitor is 800x480 but you are 800x600. it only happens when the screen is very dark...when it is bright you cannot tell.
Exactly. How do I fix that?
