Armen at digitalww.com is selling these screens. I had some e-mail exchanges with him last week and he said that the product will be available in a few weeks. Initially it was suppose to be at the end of this month but the designer of the product was reworking the pc board design which is causing the delay.

If you are just getting into your project, this is worth the wait IMO.

Anyone have an idea how the pc power control featuer is going to work? through usb maybe? hope that when you switch modes to radio it wont try to shut down the pc or something...

I hope they improve on that radio graphical interface... kind of rough as it is now.
Okay i read the first couple posts and the last page. So this may have already been asked. Anyone know if it is possible to control the radio from the pc. Then you can keep it in vga mode and control from pc with touch screen. That way it wouldn't matter what the built in radio control was like because we could just lay something out in RR or something. Of course if the buttons on the front are easy enough i guess it doesn't matter.

Personally, if you can fit a double din, get a single DIN Pc, and then a single DIN lilliput flip out. Or something like everyone else, a seperate PC, tied into the current audio system (check my cardomain).

I'd love to have a double din screen, but, there's things it MUST have for me to use it on my sound system.

Front, Rear, Sub RCA outputs, no less than 5 volts. With independent control, crossover frequency adjustments for each set.

4v not good enough for you?

    how about the zapco DSP6-SL?

or you could do that with a dac/x-over combo if you really did want to go that route. This is what i'm runnign currently I'm not sure if i'll bite the bullet on the DSP6-SL since my active x-over is tied into the installation and it's a pretty rare piece i'd hate to get rid of.

sounds like this guy is a perfect candidate to participate in our threads regarding software solutions and sound car options to get us closer to an all in one solution....that is unless he's waiting for someone else to find it so he can benefit from it...

btw - SilverSquared. The Zapco is deffinately an option. Just beware that the EQ is only 10 bands, not 31 bands.

I'll definately look into it. I'll do a lil searching for it in a lil bit. 4v is cool. With Zapco's products its most likely a very strong setup.

The main reason I'm considering this DD....I am on my 2nd flip out, and the place I got it from no longer sells it. And this one is starting to crap out. The screen has static, but I'm told its because VGA cables pick up interference easily. Also, the retraction of the screen sometimes doesnt work. I mean, it will fold down, but wont slide in. So I have to manipulate it a lil. It must go back in when the power is shut off, so it wont break in an open position, LMAO. I dont remember the brand of it, but its not the lilliput. Check my CD link, and there's pics of it in there. When this one takes a dump, I'll get the lilli., xenarc, or this DD. I hope it holds off another couple months tho.....
