    Wow that's a nice solution. Almost everything you need integrated into one unit. Slick. As these become more easily availible it will make carpc's much easier for the masses.

    Still, nothing beats a totaly custom install.
    {Xenarc 700TSV} {Celeron M 1.3 ghz} {ASUS mATX mobo w/CT479} {MX440 128mb AGP} {1x512mb RAM} {3.5" Seagate 40gb (rated at 350 G's)} {M1-ATX}

    MY INSTALLATION LOG

    exactly, but as you mentioned, the 'masses' are the people who want the system, but dont want to put in the work to actually build it themselves, so they take the cheaper uglier route

    though personally, when these screens become cheaper (such as the one posted already), then maybe i'll take up my friends' offers to put systems in their cars.., something about molding parts for a friend, just doesnt sound like it'll work out well in the end, haha

    Not so true. I find this much more practical. I was going mod my dash to put in a xenarc until I found this one, I am glad I waited. Why would I want to go the hard way with the other route?
    A xenarc +slim dvd drive+fab bondo and fiber glass+long hours will run you at around the same price as this one. This one you get all that in a plug and play unit that even has an am/fm tuner and a build in amp. Makes life a lot easier, doesn't it?

    Most people will on average own a car for ~5 years before selling it or upgrading, this will make it much easier to just pull it out and replace back the stock radio b4 you get rid of your car. With a mod fab, you'll have to either buy another dash or leave a big hole in there. Also by opening the xenarc to put the screen on the dash, like I have seen a lot of people do here, you void the warranty. Whoever made this one was listening to everybody's wish here at mp3car.

    hmm, all valid points, i guess i was speaking for myself, lol

    i'd rather do the work myself, have it look factory rather than an upgrade :T

    oh well, to each their own

    Once I get some solid release dates from the manufacturer, I will post the info on our site.

    Let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks,

    I am sure they will, you can inquire from the web site.

    My question is how would I hook up the am/fm radio to the computer?

    The question is.. will it be available with transflective tech built in? The idea of buying a regular lcd vs a transflective, now that the technology is easily available seems to be a waste. (imo)

    NOW they got DDs out. Too bad it doesnt have Front, Rear, and Sub pre-amp outputs at a NICE voltage. Good unit either way.
