There is no real good use for it at the moment, at least in my opinion. The reset is much better though.

Going back a few pages (#20/Post 292) in regards to the units PC POWER button/wire, would I be able to connect the ACC wire of my DC' powered PC and use it as an PC On/Off switch (of course, mentioned as above when the HU is on)?

Yes, you could, the problem is the unit does not remember the prior state of the wire, so you will have to hit that button each time, right after you hit the button to turn on the unit.

This unit is cool but I really don't like having to turn the screen's power on every time I start the car.
I did a little testing last week. If the MAIN CONSTANT POWER, is lost for a brief second while the unit is off, and then power is re applied, the next time the ACC gets power, it will automatically turn on. HOWEVER, it will NOT return to the previous position of the screen.

I haven't done anything with it yet (I have been swamped at work lately) but if I come up with something, I will post it.

I can live with that, thanks for the info. Gonna give it a whirl when I hook up the PC this weekend.

I ran my battery dead in my car this weekend installing Iguidance and the rest of my system. While I was cranking my car my system kept powering on by its self and (although, I had other things on my mind) I am pretty certian it was coming on in the same state. So maybe not complete power loss but just low voltage? Maybe some one with one of those fancy bench power supplies could test this.

Sorry about that. The site was having a few problems and we decided to upgrade the software on it. Everything should be fully functional now!
