Has anyone tried using their xenarc stuff with the new screen?Originally Posted by Naamanf

Nameeri probably got his for nothing, or a very small amount - in return for pimping it in the review thread. I'd be very surprised if he paid anything like full whack for it.
As for the price - as its a specialist thing that they're doing in-house I guess most of the money is labour cost. It's a shame that no one seems to make 7" transreflective screens in a factory.

I am pretty sure that Xenacs are not the same panel. The panel has different dimensions and thickness so they can't be the same. That is why Lills and Xenarcs need different bezels made for them.Originally Posted by jayearl

I got my Tran Lill in the mail last night. The TS is actually a hard glass panel instead of a film like I expected…I don’t have much experience with these. There were no instructions on what to do with the TS. Do I just put the TS in the bezel in front of the panel or do I need to peel a protective layer off and “stick/glue” it to the panel via some supplied sticky stuff? Sorry, I didn’t get much chance to examine it last night to see if it had a sticky layer on the back.
It comes with all ribbon cables unattached which scares the hell out of me given all the problems that people have had seating the ribbons and keeping them seated in the past. I hope I don’t have problems there. I’ll have to use my existing Lill as a guide since I don’t even know where/how all those ribbons are supposed to connect up. I am assuming the TS uses the same TS controller as the stock unit since there was no extra one supplied.
