What, the experiences of a user are not useful, and should be deleted?

    I don't think so.

Come on where is the use in posting what was posted. What experience. he said he got his monitor and compared to a desktop PC LCD. Do you have a desktop PC LCD in your ca? NO! Do you plan on putting one in your car? NO! He said he never owned a small 7" car LCD before to really compare apples to apples. Well since was one of the starter of this mod and I been following this since the beginning I know that the whole point of it was because all the other 7" monitor aren't readable in the sun. And this transflective upgrade is suppose to fix that problem. But he come out with the genius remark that oh this monitor isn't any lees reflective than a desktop pc and oh I haven't even taken my brand new transflective monitor out in the sun which is the whole purpose anyway. Now the over range problems happen on a lot of Lilliput as far as I know normally I just reboot my pc and monitor and all is fine. The only semi-info he gave was about the touchscreen, but then again we already know about the touchscreen issues if you followed the thread, which he must have since he knew it was the frame of the enclosure pressing on the edge of the touchscreen. so again what review did he give? none

Maybe you are too blind to see it but he did give a review of it, and overall, he was slightly unhappy with it.

Doesn't change my opinion of it, I still plan on getting one, based on other pictures and reviews of it, as soon as they come out with the G35 version, but that certainly doesn't invalidate his experiences.

I finally psuedo tested on my home PC tonight and I didn't get any picture. I could select through the vid1, vid2 and vga input selections but got the same prompt each time. "Out of range" I think it said. I imagine it may be because of the resolution setting that's set on my 17" LCD home display. Is there a specific display setting I should set my home PC to to verify my transflective?

800x480 is the native resolution, but you will probably need special drivers for that. Best bet is to try either 640x480 or 800x600

That's the ticket Caelric. It worked well on 640 x 480, 800 x 600, and 848 x 480. The display works just fine. Thanks for the help in my test,

No sweat. It will look even better if you can get it to output 800x480. Theres a thread on here somewhere, titled "Quest for 800x480" It's kind of long, but worthwhile reading.

The gist of it, though, is that you need to use a program called "Powerstrip", if you have an ATI card. I think an NVidia card can display 800x480 without the program. Either way requires a bunch of tweaking of the exact settings, though.

    Good luck

Thanks again Dave. I posed this requirement to my supplier since the Commell's site doesn't clearly indicate what resolution ouputs are available from the onboard video card of the LV675D. I found out today that it does in fact have a multitude range of resolutions including 800x480 ...... woot woot!!

This could be the bee's knees as far as small LCDs go, I just don't have a good non-transflective 7" LCD screen to compare to. Additionally, I've only used it inside and haven't had a chance to try it out in direct sunlight.

I kept getting "Over Range", even when at 800x600/60Hz/16Bit. But I eventually got it to display correctly, all the way up to 1024x768.

For some reason the touch screen is reversed. I press at the top and the mouse clicks at the bottom, and visa-versa.

Also, the touchscreen doesn't respond to touches around the outer inch near the boarder. Only the center works. Because of this, I can't even do the calibration because it requires you to click "X"s in the vary corners of the screen. I'm guessing this has to do with the frame of the enclosure pressing on the edge of the touchscreen.

Text looks pretty crappy at 800x600, but it sounds like that's what everyone uses, so I'll probably just get used to it. For the most part I'll be in RR with large fonts and large graphical buttons so it hopefully won't be as noticable.

If you install the touchpanel facing backwards it will miss the touches, also it will be very reflective. It happened to me
I always use 800x600 so no advice here.

    Thanks for the tip cederron.

However, it only misses touches around the outer edge, bout an inch from the frame. The center works.

Also down is up and up is down, but left is left, and right is right. Kinda like an inverted mouse in a first person shooter game.
