I too had the inversed touch screen, a quick touchkit driver install, and then 4 corner calibration fixed it up, now its suprisingly accurate. Not sure about calibrating it if the outer 1 inch doesnt detect anything, but good luck.

Do you have an updated estimated ETA now? I'm interested in purchasing one. I'm just not sure if I need to order one online and then my name gets put on a list? How does that work?

Nope. When we have an ETA we post it on the product page. It shouldn't be too much longer maybe two weeks. If you order now you will reserve a monitor on the next batch.

Ladies and Gents, Players and Pimps, I finally got my transflective screen installed and am ready to share my findings...When I originally received the monitor it came in a very loosely screwed case. I spoke with the guys at MP3car and they said that it was intentionally packed that way so that the touch screen doesn't get squeezed on the sides and not work properly. The problem with the way they pack it is that the screen kept shifting a lot in its housing and I was unable to get a steady position for it to stay in. I opened up the monitor housing and tightened up all screws around the touch screen to keep it steady. I did NOT have any problem with the touch screen not working after doing so.
I did notice that there is a 1/4" gap on the right hand side and bottom of the LCD that is not covered by the touch screen. It wouldn't be that big a deal, however at a screen resolution of 800x600 I am unable to click on the X icon to close folders in Windows if they are maximized. I am also unable to click on the Start icon. I am sure I can probably just tweak Windows to work with this issue. The touch screen is however extremely sensitive and accurate. (Make sure you get latest drivers and do 4 point calibration)
The best thing that I like about this monitor is that it is extremely bright and very readable even with my sunroof down and direct sunlight hitting it. However the viewing angle isn't all that great. People sitting in the car should be able to see the screen from all angles with no problem, anyone who is looking into the car from any side windows will have a difficult time seeing anything (I am guessing because of the polarization.) If you can afford it I defiantly recommend purchasing this screen for me it is worth the price.

I see the transflective screen is now "In Stock". Does that mean that mine should be shipped soon?

I'm having the same inverted issues. I've tried installing the Touchkit drivers a couple times inlcuding uninstalling, restarting, and then re-installing. Every time I try the 4 point calibration, it still clicks on the top when I try to touch the X in the lower/left.

    Any other suggestions?

Make sure that the pins are connected properly. By that I mean, there is a mark on the female connector coming off the TS cable from the screen. It has an arrow just above one of the pin holes. Make sure this wrrow connects to Pin 1 on the TS controller. it may be connected in reverse.

Ok, so I'm a total retard. I misread the instructions during the 4 point calibration. I was pressing and releasing the X multiple times instead of holding my finger there until it beeped and moved on.

    Everything is working good now.
