We now have an 8" version of the same thing. https://store.mp3car.com/ProductDeta...Code=MON%2D031
And yet, it makes me feel less lonely...
Cool! Glad to hear progress is still being made on this. Again, though, is there any progress on either doing this to a 7" Xenarc screen (so it can fit in a G35 housing, which the Lilliput is slightly too big to do), or modifying the G35 housing slightly to fit a 7" transflective Lilliput?
I have one question about this screen...
how is the veiwing from odd angles. With my Xenarc 700TSV screen that i had, if i was watching a video.. it is almost unwatchable unless if i am looking at the screen dead on. If i look at it from any angle, the dark colors are unwatchable and u lose all enjoyment of it.
In my new car, im going to fab the screen into the dash,so im not gonna be able adjust it to my sitting angle i was in the car like i did with my xenarc in the indash houseing, so it is important that i get a screen that has good viewability from angles other than strait on.
I wish i knew how to do fiberglass work...
I heard while back in the news that nec or sharp came out with a transreflective LCD straight from factory... anybody heard that?
Also interested in the Xenarc if the price comes down a bit. My opening has been made to fit the Xenarc, not the Lilliput.
I would also like to see an option for having current screens retrofitted with the transreflective technology. After spending close to $500 to bring my Xenarc into Canada, I am not about to spend another $800 for a transreflective screen. I would however spend $100 for an upgrade.
This has been discused several times and it's not possible, mainly because the enhancement is customized to the screen panel and there is not a "generic" enhancement. If you want to upgrade a single screen it's not going to be 100$, It will be around 450$. Only reasonable way of doing it is in big batches of screens with same panel, like mp3car does.Originally Posted by sebberry
