    Fiber Optic Led Backlight!!!

    I was about to search for diffusion layers and this popped up.

    It looks pretty sweet thought you guys might want to check it out.

    Hmm...confliciting things in the article...

    "These panels are ideal for applications where the LCD's active display area is up to 1/4 VGA, or approximately 2.5" to 3.5" in width and 2.5" to 5" in length, said David Page, Product Manager at Lumitex.
    ...but also...

    A single panel can uniformly spread out the light from a single LED up to approx. 4" (100 mm) in width and 10" (250 mm) in length.
    Would definitely need more than 1 LED's worth of illumination though!

    yeah definatly more than one led...but its a neat idea....gets more light for your led...
