is the 5-wire xenarc screen much better than the 4-wire?

I am looking to get a 7" screen real soon, and wondering if the Xenarc 700tsv 5-wire is worth the price. Is there really a noticeable difference in clarity and accuracy? I was looking at getting a 700y w/ touch kit, but really don't want to run into problems w/ it down the road. Any comments?

The untrained eye will never know the difference... Theoretically, there is an improvement with the 5 wire display, but it's barely noticeable to on a side by side comparison.

bring it up from the dead.

    what about durability?
I'm going to be molding one into my dash, and if a 4wire can only take 1,000,000 touches, that's 2years, maybe? I want something to last more than 2 years

*i'll be using the carputer for not only music, but live tuning while at the dyno or drag - so it's gonna get LOTS of attention on those days.
