    800X480 on MB896F motherboard

I have a MB896F motherboard (http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_...roducts_id=163) and have been trying to get the onboard video chipset to display 800X480 resolution that my Xenarc monitor supports. Has anyone had success doing this?

What build version of the graphics chip set do you have? (Intel 915GM)
800x480 issue was resolved with build .4473

Just tried these drivers and I still cannot select 800X480 resolution. Has anyone installed these drivers and got things working? Or is there another approach to getting this resolution?

I was using Intel's embedded drivers for my mobo with 845GV chipset to get 800x480, but I had to uninstall them because they were giving me problems with extremely slow response from Road Runner & MC2.0 skin

Why can't this updated driver work with my 845GV chipset??!!

Did you try using reForce? you can customize the resolution and refresh rates using any mobo/video combination. I have not tried it, but I downloaded the software to try it out. It does as it says, it will "force" any resolution you want. Plus, it scans your monitor and creates a list of resolutions that the unit can accept without issues. 800x480 should be no problem now for you. It is freeware.
