10vac???? what do you have ac running to????? the controller card takes 12v DC, on the power plug the pin is 12v and the barrel is ground. i dont know where this ac business is coming from, and if you are running ac into the controller card.... time for a new card??? unless you mean that you took the plug connection off of a wall transformer and wired just the barrel plug end to a dc source?

also, do you have a backlight turned on??? without a backlight, you will see almost no picture (maybe a tiny bit of color). if you dont have a backlight, remove the cathode tube assembly and shine a flashlight through the lcd. it will give you enough light to at least verify that it is working...

more.... you have to set a jumper on the controller card to make it turn on if you dont have the OSD board to controll it. if you have the OSD, make sure you hook it up, supply power to the controller, and then press and hold the on/off button for ~3 sec. that will turn on the screen. without the OSD board, i think you have to set a jumper so that it knows to turn the controller board on... i dont know that setting but check the datasheet

other than that...i have no idea!!!

edit...on a side note... arby i hope you dont mind me stealing your mounting idea.... that is one fantastic setup and i think it will be hard to come up with something that works, and looks, as good as that!!!

Hey Arby, do you have any 8.4" 18 bit screens or know where to find one? I have a 10.4" touchscreen and I want an 8.4"

    ACCCKKKKK

A/C, yikes. i hope that your card is still ok.... that controller card is freekin expensive if you have to buy another one.... its only putting out 500mA so you ?might? be okay, but then again, i have no idea if there is any sort of "reversed polarity" protection on that controller board.

to test it you are going to have to hook it up and see if it works... i believe that is the only way to see if it works!!!

easiest way to run 12v dc power is to use a 12v lead from one of the molex connections on a computer power supply...unless you are going to be pulling a couple amps... then i would suggest a dc power supply... look one up on ebay.
