Linitx is in the uk so if there is something wrong then they should fix it or replace it.
Hi everybody
I've been putting together the bits for my carputer for a while now and finally got it installed today.
I've just recieved a phone call from the garage installing it for me to say that everything seems to have gone ok but there's a burning smell coming from the screen when it's powered on.
I got it from www.linitx.com but they don't have any others in stock. What would be my best way to go with this? return it to them?
Oh, I'm in the UK if there's anything different between UK and USA returns laws or anything.

May sound stupid, but if it is a burning smell, it could be something as little as some excess glue dripped on a transistor and is burning off, to the actual PCB melting. Check out linitx's return, and if they will take back a non-working device that could possibly have been installed incorrectly, run it until it stops working or until the smell goes away. Might happen at the sime time!

I've had it working all weekend (not constant) and it seems ok, but the USB doesn't work so I'm gonna be sending it back to them anyway to try and get that sorted.
No point having a touch screen that you can't touch is there?
