Lilliput 7" Touchscreen Damaged??

Hey guys,

I have a Lilliput 7" Touchscreen (Not sure of the exact model number just yet) but whilst moving my carputer from one totalled car, to my new one, i managed to completely screw my screen.

When i look at it the screen is scratched and damaged, but the touchscreen works perfectly,

I think i read somewhere that there is a "layer or film" over the actual screen which makes the touchscreen work? in which case, can i just buy a new "layer/film" and replace this.

The touchscreen works brilliantly and the damage doesnt look like it has affected the use of the screen, its just the viewing of the screen is difficult in the scratched / scuffed area...

Any ideas? (I have searched but cannot find the exact info)

Oh, and is there anyone in the UK who has a lilliput remote for sale? need a new one!

Possibly, I've got a post running to see if anyone can help repair my lilliput. If not then i'll sell bits of it

Hey,

Ok, i stripped down my screen, and simply removed the front touchscreen panel.

Digital WW do the panel, its http://www.digitalww.com/7TSLilli.htm

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK i can get one, checked Google and ebay! any other ideas?

Okay no worries, is your a touchscreen? if so would be interested in doing some business for the complete touchscreen panel

(as long as it is 7")

Yeah its got a 7" touchpanel and it all works fine. Still waiting to see if anyone find me a replacement part, but if not then i will be up for selling bits off

Hey,

I've thought about it, and i think im gonna go for a motorised screen, are you interested in my 7" screen. My touchscreen panel has gone, and ive removed it so easily, i'm just thinking if you wanted to buy it, you could then fit your touchscreen panel and job done...??

Need to get some funds for the new screen. (unless i can find someone who can fabricate a 96 Renault Megane dash to incorporate the screen lol...
