    New In-dash displays coming out...

I was thinking of purchasing the lilliput in-dash monitor with the built in amp, as I only have one din space available in my dash & don't wish to loose my radio. However I decided against it due to some of the reviews here at mp3car.com. I searched hi & low for an alternate, and only found the k500, which there aren't many reviews on, but I will still consider.

After searching some more, I found the following unit that seems to be looking for resellers, and may possibly be coming to market soon. It has a built in vga touchscreen with usb input, sd card reader, 4x45W amp, dvd player, am/fm radio, and power & reset switches for the carputer. It also says it is built to military specifications - whatever that means!?!?

Does anyone know anything about who the manufacturer is? Seems like a good package any way, & something I don't mind waiting another 6 months for. I also found the following units without the dvd, and a double din one, which seem to be by the same manufacturer, which others may be interested in...

I did a search here & couldn't find any other info on these. Anyone???

Maybe MP3car.com's store would be interested in selling these? Hint hint...

As found by checksum in Dual DIN LCD touchscreen monitor?, the dual din noted above in the 3rd link can be found at http://www.digitalww.com/DWW-6500.htm for pre-order. Unfortunately, they do not carry either of the above two single din's. Hopefully somebody can find those too!

Good news, www.digitalww.com will be carrying both of the single din units when they come out as well, per the below quote from them!!! Yay!

I will have both of these monitors once they come out. The motorized one will not be ready for a few month. However, the not motorized monitor (first link) will be ready very soon. Maybe even in a few weeks.

Once I get some solid release dates from the manufacturer, I will post the info on our site.

Let me know if you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    Armen

If this is the same one I'm thinking of, it's been "coming soon" for about 4 years now.

If only it was transflective it might be worth it

Oh well no perfect solution yet. (Perfect being, transflective, vga/dvi, touchscreen, and stows away in dash to not say "STEAL ME PLEASE!!!")

Looks like the single din non motorized unit is out now. See it at http://www.digitalww.com/DWW-750FM.htm. Got one, hope it is good! Manual is up too. Amp spec's aren't wonderfull, but I am not worried about that too much. It seems you can have the radio playing while in Vga mode too, which the lilliput wouldn't do.

Very nice! Expecially the repeated power/reset buttons directly on the monitor and the USB port repeater, you will eliminate these "custom" panels in your car console.. it also look nice when open.
But it's really no so cheap... 700H still rollz.. imho.
