Via Mini ITX VGA Out Works on some monitors, not others

Does anyone know why the VGA out of a Via Mini ITX board would work on some monitors and not others? I thought maybe it was the age of the monitor, but I tried it on an 8 year old monitor and it worked fine. I tried it on my HDTV vga input and it didn't work, also worked on one monitor at work, but not another.

Any fix or reason for this?

I have a M10000 VIA board that works fine with every monitor and LCD I have, which is several. You may want to hit F8 and boot the machine in Safe Mode with VGA support to see if your monitor cannot handle the refresh rate you are currently using. Try looking on the back of the monitor to see if there is a list of the refresh rates that the device can use. e.g. 50-60Hz

This Mini ITX is also the M10000 and I believe uses the S3 Unichrome video card. I looked at the back of the monitors as suggested and both say 50/60 Hz and both monitors are set to 60 Hz in the Advanced Monitor Settings in Control Panel.

Any other suggestions?
