    TFT Screens

    hi

i have 3 LCD screens out of jap import cars and i want to know how to make them work.

i only have the screens and they dont have RCA inputs only a 18Pin Green plug.

anyone know how to make these work?

    they are the following:
    Alpine TVE-TOO6S or TVE-T006S (zeros)
    Pioneer CPN1300
    SonyXVM-46

iv searched the net and found nothing

One would imagine they will be proprietry connections and require the DVD/nav unit they are attached too.

maybe try searching on the net the other way round...find out what units work with them and then try and find the pinouts for those units.

TBH though if you want to use this with a carPc i would say you are wasting your time.

i'd probably stick em on ebay and put the money towards a nice VGA touch screen.

are there any austrailian carPc stores you can get one shipped from? bit more local. try taking one of the screens apart and see if they have a regular 4 wire touch panel too as even if you do get the screen working getting a touch panel is going to be damn near impossible as they look quite small. if they are 4 wire then you may be able to use some regualr usb 4 wire ones. I think greenman has one for sale on here pretty cheap.

take it apart more and look for a glass and plastic panel over the LCD with some wires coming off it.

aye. think you are wasting your time.

the pink and white wires are for the backlight from the inverter - very high voltage and will hurt.

The ribbon closest to you is the signal lead from the controller to the lcd. normally 40 or 50 wires.
