    This is my personal opinion:

The current crop of motorized VGA touchscreen is realy the first generation of units. As such, they are subject to desgin flaws, build quality issues, and so on. While there may be a "best" among them, it's about like being the best #10 envelope. The best is still pretty bland....
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

some of the motorized lilli's on eBay are pretty spiffy looking. It is a lilliput though under all the flashy stuff, so expect lower quality. Like the kia or geo of the car world... It'll work just fine for a while, but you'll notice the difference, and when it goes, it goes.

Check eBay for the 3 year old "NEW MODELS!!!". Some are all silver, some are all black. Some have a faux chrome finish, some just regular plastic.

Basically for indash, they are almost all the same quality wise. More than likely the motor will fail before the screen. So when it comes to which is the best, look for something that is snazzy looking because that is what you are paying for.

Well many people use lilliputs. I myslef use a rebranded lilliput called an Ex-Audio.

It works just fine. I blew up the 800x600 resolution though, so now it only displays 640x480 and 1024x768, but I like high res! It is readable, and the TS works. It is not a flip out thing, I molded it in.

It is fine to get the lower quality one, just don't expect it to last the life of the car. Budget for a new one in a year or two.

Oh, and be wary of chinese sellers. I got mine from Hong Kong in 2 days no problem, but other have expereinced head aches. Especially when you need to return it for some reason, you pay more in shipping than you paid for the unit all together!
