    Can't set LCD to primary...

Hi folks, I've done a lot of reading in faqs but have not come up with any solutions to this problem.

I am unable to get my LCD (S7 7inch) to be made the primary monitor (it's connected to a laptop). Windows only allows me to "extend my desktop" onto it... and the setting to set the LCD to primary is disabled, the same is true if I am using utramon.

using it as a desktop extension is a pain, getting applications to load in that window etc... (especially media engine) I also tried just mirroring the primary onto the secondary with ultramon, but video playback does not happen in the mirror.

I can disable the laptop's monitor, and the lcd will be forced to the primary... this works beautifully... but when I do that, standby/hibernate are disabled...WTF?

anyone know about this, or have any insights? I hope I wrote that well...

the laptop is an HP/compaq nc6000...

I have the same problem. Updating the video drivers allowed me to shut off the screen on my laptop and have the primary display be my LCD. But then whenever I restart it reverts back. Anyone?
