Thread: laptop screen model number

or does anyone know if i can use a different lcd in place of the "stock" lcd that is provided. it comes with a 13.3, but i have a 10.4 that i might be able to use.

hows this for half-assed idea... use my 10.4 with my allenruble controller, vga in from the vga out of the laptop feeding the controller card... all fit into the space for the 13.3. i have everything for the 10.4 sitting in my room....most laptops dont run over 800x600 so i think my 10.4 should do fine.... hmmmmm

any ideas... or am i starting to sound like the "village idiot"??

Actually most newer laptops run at some large and abnormal resolution.

for instance my dell inspiron 8100 runs at 1400x1050

if the screen is 800x600 then just set the resolution for it.. that's all that maters really

well. it seems the guy closed the auction on this computer... oh well, its probably better that i dont spend more $$$ on stuff i really dont completely need.
