Tape it in place.
And make sure the ribbon cable is ll the way to the right of the socket (I believe).

Got my g35 custom housing and xenrac 700tsv kit
did everything as directed.
little brown clip from the wide ribbon zif socket on the xenarc went flying across the garage and i cant find it.
now i cant get the dispaly ribbon to stay in the socket. is there anyway i can fix this or do i have a giant paperweight

got it taped in place and working fine for about an hour inthe car. now it wont power up at all. hope warranty covers this
Did you open the case? If so, you're out of luck on the warranty. Call up Xenarc and ask for a quote on exactly what you need. They're pretty good about selling replacement parts for people like us.
I don't think tape will be able to apply the pressure it needs. I wedged another end of a ribbon cable in with it then applied a couple dabs of hot glue on mine.
