I just recieved a DWW-700M unit, and it appears that some of the gears have a few teeth missing, hence hindering the proper operation of the unit.
The motors attempt to move the gears but no movement happens since some gears are missing teeth. The motors turn for a few seconds, after which they stop, and all the buttons on the unit start flashing.
Anyway, has anyone replaced any of those gears? What source did you use?
In the mean time, is there a way to turn the unit on, so I can test the video inputs?
...I love the French language...especially to curse with...Nom de Dieu de putain de bordel de merde de saloperies de connards d'enculés de ta mère. You see, it's like wiping your *** with silk, I love it.
Got a hold or Armen... we'll see where that goes.
Are there any user manuals for the DWW-700M, and/or technical details I could download?
Same thing happens with mine. Its not when the screen extends, but rather when it turns upwards, it will get to about 45 degrees and then struggle. Sometimes it makes it, sometimes it quits.
Let use know what Armen does for you, I am very interested.

Armen came through. Gear 1 had a few teeth missing (where gear 1 and 2 interface), so I I'm getting one of each. I figure if gear 2 broke the teeth, it might have some damage on it as well.
You probably have the same gears that have the problem.
Anyway, send Arman at DigitalWW an email. He might have some more gears kicking around.
I have emailed techsupport@digitalww.com hopefully i'll get a reply.

I have received the replacement gears from Armen. I will attempt to replace them tonight.
I am a bit dissapointed though about the replacement gears, not that the gears are plastic(which sucks) but there are a few teeth that are mis-shaped. I will go through each tooth before i install and try to make them as evenly spaced as possible.
I am optomistic though that this will solve every DWW-700M problem.
Currently when the touchscreen folds down, its a free fall drop, gotta manually help it up as well.
